Another wonderful tribute to the fun-loving Scottie dog named S.L.U.R.P. In this book, readers get to walk and talk with S.L.U.R.P. through the entire adventures of having a birthday with a special friend to going through the circus and meeting all the animals and people that are at the circus, from the lion, tiger, and bear to the big top tent and all that goes on throughout the circus show. It is a fun day at the circus and S.L.U.R.P. introduces the reader to so many of his newfound friends. S.L.U.R.P leaves the circus and takes the reader on another adventure, this time to the farm where the reader meets so many of the farm animals and learns what goes on at a farm as well as what types of animals are on the farm. S.L.U.R.P also has a lot of fun on the farm as well. Then S.L.U.R.P. brings the reader home and sends the special message of the importance of being with family. The reader is engrossed throughout the book because of the rhyming lyrics and so many pictures to show what is going on and help the reader identify the situation through visual effects.
